Latest Jacket Installation Project Completed

The LDD crews are back from West Africa after successfully completing a Jacket Installation Service  project with EMAS on VAALCO's Etame Marin Block field expansion.

LDD provided a complete range of equipment under a single contract, working off the EMAS flagship vessel Lewek Constellation on her maiden project.

Tolvaddon new build starts to take shape

This month the steel frame is being erected at Tolvaddon for our new offices and workshop.

The complete frame is expected to take around 4 weeks to erect after which the cladding will be added to the outside...photos to come as soon as it happens!

LDD and LMH are looking forward to moving into the purpose build premises in early 2015.

RWE Award LDD for Zero LTI's During Project

LDD received this safety award from our client on the Gwynt y Môr Offshore Wind Farm project where we have been relief drilling tapered monopiles for the foundations of one of the largest wind farms in the world.  We also supplied RWE with deck crew to assist with general duties on their vessel the Friedrich Ernestine.

LDD gets teams together for a day of training

Trying to get all the teams together at LDD and LMH is a difficult task, but with most people confirmed for the day our HR Manager took us out of the office and out of our comfort zones to learn more about each other and to improve the communication across the company.

Starting on Gyllyngvase Beach in Falmouth, Cornwall, we were put in teams and raced to build the tallest sandcastle...luckily the sun shone and although fun it revealed a lot of things about each team member and also uncovered the more competitive side in people at LDD!  Naturally, we let our MD win that race!

LDD Australia Completes First Project of 2014

Our Australian branch, in Perth, has completed its first project for 2014.

The contract was to supply specialist pile top drilling equipment for pile installation for the Molonglo River Bridge as part of the Majura Parkway project in Canberra.

LDD Australia are also working on another project in Brisbane and have recently won a contract for a project in Western Australia.

New LDD VP for Sales and Marketing

It is official!  LDD have a new Vice President for Sales and Marketing!

James McGovan is not a new face to LDD, having been here since the first day back in 2007, he has been the sales leader for the Offshore Renewables market sector and special projects.

He takes over from Mark Richards who will continue working with us on various projects as Senior Contracts Manager.

New Headquarters for LDD in 2014

Happy New Year from everyone at LDD!

This year is going to be a big year for us as we plan our new build premises at Tolvaddon Energy Park in Cornwall, UK.


We went out to tender at the beginning of this week for the main contractor and are hoping to be moving into the new office and workshop before the end of 2014.
